  • Although cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death today, there are measures which can be taken for cardiovascular disease prevention
  • Some may think that since they are already smoking, it would be too late to quit anyhow. What they don’t know is that the risk of heart disease dramatically decreases within one year after quitting
  • Stick to a diet which is heart healthy. Avoid saturated fat and trans fat prepared foods as these will increase the risk of cardiovascular disease
  • An accepted fat, a polyunsaturated fat, is omega-3 fatty acids which are found in some fish. Omega-3 is also found in supplemental form for cardiovascular support
  • For optimal cardiovascular disease prevention, be conscientious of your diet and activity level
